Hardware · StoreTel crib & storeroom management

Digitize your crib or storeroom — however it's staffed.

StoreTel brings real-time visibility and accountability to tool cribs and storerooms of any size, whether they're unmanned, staffed by your own team, or run by a distributor under a stocking agreement. A full-size workstation handles the core workflow, while an optional handheld device lets attendants scan, receive, and put away stock from anywhere in a large crib. Every transaction is committed in real time and flows into WebSync alongside the rest of your SupplyPoint inventory data — so your crib is no longer a blind spot.

Standalone

Offered as a standalone solution only

Flexibility

Manage thousands of items on existing storage racks/shelving.

Optional Handheld

An handheld scanner is optional - to aid with mobility and conduct transactions at the point-of-use.

The Problem it solves

StoreTel replaces manual, disconnected crib tracking with the same real-time visibility and accountability SupplyPoint
brings to compartment-based hardware — adapted to the realities of open-shelf storage.

Crib Staffing Models

StoreTel is built to support the way tool cribs and storerooms actually operate — not just one staffing model.

Unmanned

The crib is open to users, who interact directly with the workstation and/or handheld device to self-serve.

Staffed by end-customer personnel

A crib attendant operates the workstation and takes requests from the wider user population, conducting the inventory
transaction and handing over the item. Transactions can be attributed to the requesting user, as well as to a job or
machine, for full accountability.

Staffed by a distributor

A distributor provides staffing for the crib, operating it in much the same way as customer-managed staffing — typically
under a stocking guarantee or service-level agreement (SLA) with the end customer.

What StoreTel Manages

  • Tool cribs
  • Storerooms
  • Bulk item tracking for low-volume, high-mix inventory

Without StoreTel

excess walking
wasted time waiting
lack of traceability
  • Crib and storeroom inventory tracked manually, on paper, or in disconnected spreadsheets
  • No real-time visibility into what's on the shelf or who took what
  • Crib data disconnected from other vending and inventory systems
  • Receiving purchase orders and packing lists tied to a single desk, slow in large cribs

With Storetel

audit trail per user
automated reorder
  • Real-time commit of every transaction — issues, restocks, adjustments, cycle count
  • Fast barcode scan-and-go item issue and return, with multiple location visibility

SupplyPoint's StoreTel powered by VendTel makes managing tool cribs and storerooms easier than ever. Perfect for staffed cribs/stores or self-serve environments, StoreTel provides real-time visibility and tracking for thousands of items ensuring your organization has just the right amount of what’s needed, when it’s needed. Advanced features support the unique workflows of crib and storeroom activities, while helping to reduce loss and increase accountability.

StoreTel consists of a full-size workstation and an optional handheld device to support stationery or mobile environments. The handheld’s industrial design, large touchscreen, and true portability facilitates critical “on-the-go” activities including withdraws, restocks, inventory adjust, cycle count and purchase order receipt.

Paired with our WebSync platform, StoreTel leverages SupplyPoint’s extensive administration features including item and user management, automated ordering, reporting, and more.

The Dispensing Workflow

From authentication to automated replenishment — reconfigurable at every step.

Step 01 — Authenticate

At the workstation or handheld, depending on staffing model and location within the crib.

Step 02 — Request or self-serve

An attendant takes a request from a user (staffed cribs) or the user self-serves directly (unmanned cribs).

Step 03 — Scan and transact

Barcode scan-and-go item issue or return, with multiple location visibility across the crib. Transactions can be attributed to user, job, or machine.

Step 04 — Real-time commit

The transaction commits in real time and is transmitted to WebSync — the same data pipeline used by every other SupplyPoint vending machine.

Step 05 — Workflow for mobile use

Attendants can receive stock, track purchase orders and packing lists, and put items away from anywhere in the crib using the handheld device — no need to return to the workstation.

FAQs

Questions, Answered.

How does it integrate with our existing systems?

StoreTel transaction data is captured and transmitted to WebSync exactly like data from any SupplyPoint vending machine, so crib and storeroom inventory sits on the same platform, and in the same reports, as the rest of your SupplyPoint estate.

What kind of hardware is available?

StoreTel consists of a full-size workstation (13-inch touchscreen monitor and desktop computer) with an optional rugged handheld device (IP65-rated, drop-tested) for mobile use in large or busy cribs.

How quickly will we see a return?

Returns come from improved visibility and accountability in a crib or storeroom without needing to physically rebuild it — customers typically see measurable improvements in tracking accuracy and reduced loss within the first few months of deployment.

What is StoreTel used for?

StoreTel digitizes tool crib and storeroom management — replacing manual, paper-based, or spreadsheet tracking with real-time visibility and accountability.

Does a crib managed with StoreTel need a dedicated attendant?

No. StoreTel supports three staffing models: unmanned self-serve, staffed by the end-customer's own personnel, or staffed by a distributor under a stocking agreement.

Is crib inventory data tracked separately from other SupplyPoint machines?

No. StoreTel transaction data is captured and transmitted to WebSync exactly like data from any SupplyPoint vending machine, so crib inventory sits on the same platform and in the same reports as the rest of the SupplyPoint installation.

Can receiving and put-away be done without going back to a desk?

Yes. The optional handheld device supports a full receiving workflow — scanning the part number on an incoming order, selecting the matching purchase order, and putting the item away — directly at the point of work in the crib.

What hardware does StoreTel run on?

A full-size workstation (13-inch touchscreen monitor and desktop computer), with an optional rugged handheld device (IP65-rated, drop-tested) for mobile use in large or busy cribs.
